The Distance are supporting the amazing Beccy Cole along with Chris E & Kate Ballantyne at the Meeniyan Hall on Saturday 6th of March. Tickets are $25 and can only be bought from our online store or you can try your luck on the night at the door. What brought you to country music? The Distance found themselves asking this question on a recent road trip. The debate that raged brought about the idea of each band member picking a song to record for an EP. A song that took them from the 'big towns to the outback sounds'. Recorded in one day, this 5 track live EP will be released in February. We have a special offer for the first 10 people to pre-order our yet to be released live EP. DAY ON THE GREEN......

We dubbed it the 'day on dazza's green grass'. Its part fundraiser for the band and is also about the band giving back to all the people who make what we do possible. Due to the weather it was a hard sell on the day, but once the last band of rain clouds rolled over, we got the show on the road. Read more in the Blogs........ |

ON THE ROAD AGAIN......

The Distance has a bit of a love affair with Deniliquin. We seem to be there all the time. And in fact we'll be there in a few weeks to play another show. But this trip was all about warming up the muster. We played a street festival by day and rocked the local pub at night. I'll get a BLOG up as soon as I get some more pics! |

RETURN TO WHITTLESEA ......

The Distance appeared at the 'Return to Whitlesea' benefit concert last weekend. The Whittlesea community was out in force, all pitching in any way they could to make sure the event was a success. It was a privelage to be asked to help such a great cause. Check the BLOG for more....

Our latest video clip 'Little Cowgirl' is making inroads on the CMC chart. Thanks to everyone who has been voting. MEENIYAN HALL......

The Distance played a show to remember at the Meeniyan Hall last weekend. Playing two huge sets to a great crowd of locals who all came with eskies in hand and their dancing shoes on. We had a few guests join us on stage, good friend John Kendall brought his lightning fiddle and also Mitch's dad Geoff jumped up for a song - hit the BLOGS! |

TAMWORTH 2009.......

We're back! What a monster trip!! Our forays to the Tamworth Country Music Festival are just getting bigger and better each time we make the trek up there. Playing 10 shows at 6 different venues, it was non-stop rockin for 10 days straight days - just the way we like it.

A DAY ON DAZZA'S GREEN.....

The band organised it's own little fundraiser to help with our 2009 Tamworth trip - it was dubbed the inuagural 'Day on Dazza's green' . They came in droves, eskies in hand, to sit in the sun and enjoy an afternoon of country rock. Read more in the BLOG section. Sick of wasting life on the couch? - well we have a remedy for you! The Distance are taking their country rock swagger to the Hallam Hotel this coming October for a show that should not be missed. We are calling upon all the faithful, the music lovers, those looking for love, those who like a beer, and basically all the people who want to avoid another night of Australian idol on the couch. WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS............

The Distance recently supported The Flood at our local haunt the Peninsula Lounge for what was one very special night of music. And if supporting the Flood wasnt cool enough - we were treated to a special appearance from KB on stage with us to play the classic CS&N song 'Long Time Gone' at the end of our set!
