BARMAH MUSTER 2008

If you dont know where Barmah is, it's about 30km's east of Echuca, right on the Murray river. Quite a nice spot and a great palce to camp and holiday. I got to admit I had no clue what I was in for. The place absolutely went crazy on the Saturday night. The were droves of people that all gathered to party the weekend away and dance themselves silly. Fellow Vic country rockers 'Ruckus' kicked the night off, getting the crowd kickin up more dust than a herd of stampeding bulls. It was great to see my amp was already an inch thick in dust when I walked on the stage!! Well that only got worse - might leave the clean up till later on in the week.

We had a great time playing 2 huge sets. Then venue was amazing, like a big cattle yard but with big bon fires on the edges to keep everyone warm. Did I mention the crowd went off!! They were country rockin crazy fans. Thankyou to all the dancers up the front - we loved it. We had some Distance fans drive up just to see us on the night - so big thanks to you all who made that special effort. Including one 'bundy fuelled' mini bus of crazy blokes!

And before I forget - There was a stack of dust in the air so the camera didn't really take many good pics. Our longtime roadie - 'Rowdy' was relieved of paparazzi duties this weekend, but he is hoping to win back his coverted 'sharpshooter' title very soon. He was of course there to make sure everything was running smooth and that nobody went thirsty 'after' the show. Rowdy is back people!
