A DAY ON DAZZ'S GREEN!

group shot

THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are seriously blessed to know such amazingly generous, beautiful people. The band raised an amazing amount of money to help it's cause, for this we cant thank you all enough. We just cant get over the support shown by all our friends, family and fans today to help us make our little dream a reality.

And while I'm at it - huge thanks to those who helped us set up, cook snags and collect raffle tickets! We couldnt have made the day work without you.

In case you dont know what we are talking about - the Distance put on a fundraiser day to help fund our 2009 trip to Tamworth. Playing some music, putting on a raffle and a sausage sizzle, all in the name of raising some hard earned to make our very costly trip just that little bit easier. Our superman drummer Darren thought that his backyard would always be the perfect venue for such an occasion - and it was PERFECT. The band set up on the decking and played to his mamoth size backyard, with the crowd sitting in the shade of the trees. It's something that I'm sure we will do again - the word 'annual' did get thrown around, I really hope it does become an annual.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm - yes that would be Mark White and the raffle draw. We decided to get 'Whitey' up on stage to help us draw the raffle. Not sure why because the 'tin arse' kept drawing his own numbers. 3 freaking times!!!! He was on fire. Thankfully for all involved we decided to give the prizes to some far better looking and less feminin people in the audience.
