Deni Ute Muster September 2007

The Deni Ute Muster is no doubt one of Australia's greatest weekends. I
seriously urge any city folk who read this to get out there and experience a true blue Aussie festival. The people
are fantastic, the atmosphere is unreal, and there is stacks to see and do. Not to mention there was this great
little Aussie rock band jumpin up on the main stage on Saturday night!! I've never wanted to get on the stage so much in my life. I thought I'd be
nervous as hell - but the excitement just tookover! Playing up there was the just an amazing experience. The lights, the
camera's, the dust, the crowd, it had it all. We
had a stack of 'Distance' faithful along the front row to cheer us on,
singing along and making the night all the more memorable!
We are getting our hands on some of the filmed footage from the night
which I might even try to put a snipet up here for you all to see - (well I just want to see the footage of
our friend Carl in his cowboy suit on his bux weekend who was front row).
I guess I should mention our Friday set on the Ute muster day stage -
cause it was a bloody ripper too! After being introduced by country rock icon Col Finley we kicked off a
blistering set of Distance originals and also threw in a few of our fav covers. The crowd went off. Thanks to those
who bought Cd's. And to those guys in Distance t-shirts!
The weather was playing a bit of havoc with small
patches of rain coming down all day - but I don't reckon the muster goers really gave a damn - like water off a ducks back to them.
They just kept knockin down those Bundy cans!
That night we showed our drinks rider who's boss while watching Aussie rockers the Hoodoo Gurus play a monster set of all their
classics. Damn loud!!
Thanks to everyone from our way who made the trip up to support us! Thanks to Rob for snoring his freakin arse off all night
long...............not!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Gav for impersonating a Bundy Babe - we have photo's....
Thanks to Matt for ensuring that the swan statue in our backyard never
goes thirsty again (you had to be there). And lastly - thanks to Chris Bodey for all your support.
